• A key or pointer button still held when the workshop closes no longer risks a stray move. The overlay’s capture-phase listeners already stopped the game hearing any keystroke while the workshop was open; what they could not do is tell the game a key was released once the workshop stopped listening for it. The overlay now tracks what it has seen go down without a matching release, and dispatches an honest keyup or mouseup for it the moment it discovers an already-repeating key or gives up ownership of one - on acquiring input and on releasing it. docs/ENGINE_SEAMS.md records what this narrows and what it does not: the browser’s own hardware auto-repeat is still not something a mod can reach.
