Neo Angband: ModForge v1.3.0
Added
- VisibleUI A mod that already exists can be forked into a draft of your own. A new card on the mod list starts a mod from one installed in this game, from a mod folder picked off disk, or from a mod saved as a zip. A fork owns its content outright rather than shipping a patch against somebody else’s: the records become the fork’s own, so the mod it came from does not have to be installed for the fork to work. It takes an id of its own before it can be taken, keeps the source’s licence, name and description, blanks the author, writes a local repository address rather than inheriting one that would point the update check at somebody else’s releases, and records what it was forked from in the manifest it ships. Everything the fork could not carry is listed under the card that took it: a licence that is not readable, a record two mods both adjust, an original’s version of a record another mod had changed. A mod at a repository address is not one of the ways in, and the card says why and what to do instead.
- VisibleUI The workshop reads a zip as well as writing one. A mod saved as a zip, whether this workshop wrote it or another tool did, opens into a fork.
Changed
- VisibleUI An id a mod in this game already uses is refused when naming a mod. Two mods with one id install over each other rather than side by side, which was previously only caught against unfinished work in the workshop.
