Neo Angband v1.11.0
Added
-
VisibleUI Messages, inventory, visible monsters, and visible floor items can now stay open beside the main play view. The new
=->wSubwindow setup enables each independently in its own right-hand canvas term, remembers the choices, and leaves all four off by default so the existing single-window layout is unchanged. These are upstream’s Term-1 through Term-4 defaults: messages are bottom-aligned, inventory includes burden and quiver summaries, and both static object and monster lists fit their height with an overflow count. The remaining default Term-5 through Term-7 recall, overhead, and compact-player terms stay planned, along with arbitrary term/flag assignment, pref-file window flags, movable panel geometry, and the^Einventory/equipment flip. Reported by darkness. -
InternalDocs Every mod repository now carries a
docs/README.mdquick reference, and the mod table in this repository’s README links each mod at its own. One page per mod, in the same shape for all eight: every switch it exposes, the flag or section id a save knows it by, whether it starts on or off, and the engine range and capabilities it asks the game for. Each page is built from that mod’smanifest.json, and adocs-sync.test.tsin each repository fails when the two part, so a renamed switch or a flipped default cannot leave a page quietly claiming the old one.
Fixed
-
VisibleUI Clicking a distant visible floor tile now pathfinds to it. Adjacent clicks still take one careful step, while a longer route follows the normal running and disturbance rules. Reported by darkness.
-
VisibleUI The store sell picker now accepts inventory choices while shopping. It now opens through the store’s active screen surface, so its item selection inherits the screen’s input ownership. Reported by darkness.
-
VisibleUI The shared command wheel now follows the live game canvas. Its former 360px cap left its labels too small in an ordinary desktop window. The wheel now measures the canvas whenever it opens or resizes, uses CSS pixels so high-density displays retain correct geometry, and preserves the larger touch share that keeps phone wedges finger-sized (neostryder/neo-angband#185).
-
VisibleUI Desktop mod bindings can now use Ctrl+=, Ctrl+- and Ctrl+0. Electron’s default application menu intercepted these chords before the game renderer could receive them, even while the menu bar was hidden. The desktop app now installs no application menu. Its otherwise unreachable DevTools and standard copy, paste, cut and select-all commands remain available through browser-process key handling; the default menu’s other accelerators are removed (neostryder/neo-angband#182).
-
VisibleModding-API Rules that change plugin registration now request a reload instead of claiming to apply live. A rule may declare
requiresReload: truewhen its effect is read byregister(). The manager records that choice and uses its existing reload prompt, while hooks-side rules keep applying at once (neostryder/neo-angband#186). -
VisibleModding-API A mod that asks for a new permission after you allowed it now asks again, instead of quietly doing nothing. Permission is granted once, when a mod is turned on. A mod that adds a permission in a later version and then updates in place was left holding an out-of-date grant, and its code stopped loading. Nothing said so: the mod stayed switched on, stayed in the list, and every one of its settings still appeared and still took a click, because those settings are read from the mod’s description rather than from the code that was never loaded. A mod whose permission list grew over four releases could lose all thirteen of its settings at once, all in the same moment, with no message anywhere. The mod’s own screen now offers to allow what is newly asked for, showing only what changed rather than the whole list again, and the detail pane says the code is not running and names what is holding it. Saying no offers to switch the mod off, so a mod listed as on and contributing nothing is a state you chose rather than one you cannot see. Only mods that run code are affected; a mod that adds content only was never gated this way (#190).
