Neo Angband v1.17.0

Added

  • InternalModding-API A mod can now read and paint a monster race’s tile art from the active graphics pack. ctx.tiles exposes whether a tileset (rather than ASCII) is the current display mode, whether the active pack assigns a given race a tile at all, and a paint call that composites that tile over a neutral floor exactly as the dungeon view draws a monster standing on open ground. Nothing in core content consumes this; it exists for a mod’s own UI, such as a monster portrait drawn outside the dungeon grid. Absent on an older host, so a mod degrades to its own ASCII glyph (#256).
  • VisibleUIModding-API A “Save a Delve…” and “Load a Delve…” row on the Mods screen write and read a portable, shareable snapshot of the enabled mod set. A Delve (.ndelve, plain JSON, gated on its own magic marker rather than the file name) carries each mod’s id, repository, version and per-mod flag choices - never the resolved value, so it still resolves correctly against a different install of the same mod - plus, optionally, general game options and birth options. Saving offers a checklist of the currently enabled mods (unchecking one drops it from the file entirely) and can save to a file or copy to the clipboard for pasting into a chat message. Loading previews what would happen to each named mod (already installed and unchanged, already installed at a different version with a per-row update-or-keep choice, fetchable from its repository, or unreachable and skipped without failing the rest of the import), asks once whether to replace the current mod set or add to it, and applies through the same install and per-mod consent flow “Install a mod…” already uses - a Delve’s own consents field is preview information only and never grants anything on its own (#87).
  • VisibleUIModding-API A remembered folder can now keep two installs’ mod sets in sync, instead of a Delve only ever moving by hand. “Mod profile sync folder…” on the Mods screen picks a folder (independent of the mods-source folder); the current enabled set is written there, in the same .ndelve shape, each time changes are applied (never on a single toggle) and carries a revision number and a short device label. Opening the Mods screen checks that folder for a newer revision than this device has seen and, if there is one, offers to apply it at once (only when every named, enabled mod is already installed here at the exact version named) or to review it through the existing Load-a-Delve preview. A folder whose enabled set was produced under an external mod manager’s own management, rather than this game’s, is written and shown for review only - it never offers a one-click apply, since nothing here can confirm what a managed folder actually loaded (#158).
